About Oracles

An oracle is an open-ended and somewhat obscure way to gain insight. Oracles are a kind of inspired message from the Gods to human kind. One could say that such sacred writings as the Avesta, (the Zoroastrian bible) the Bhagavad-Gita, the bible and other such writings are a kind of oracle.

Other such devices that fall in to this category are - the runes, the iching and of course, The Oracle of Delphi. Perhaps oracles are open-ended and obscure because they possess a multiplicity of meanings that the seeker can chew on.

I myself have found that oracles tend to be more internal rather than external. What I mean is that an oracle tends to touch your core. Perhaps you will discover something about your life: an aspect that must be attended to: either positive or negative.
